I’m not an advisor – I’m a builder.
Over the last decade, I’ve helped grow Retirement Capital into a modern, multi-generational firm by leading the business development and marketing behind more than $300 million in retirement planning assets. I’ve studied at Harvard Business School online, built scalable systems, and recruited a team that’s just as obsessed with doing great work as I am.
Our More Life Method™ is at the center of everything we do – a simple but powerful way to help people retire with clarity, confidence, and control.
My role is to drive the vision, scale the impact, and make sure we’re building something that lasts.
I’ve spent over 30 years helping families retire with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind. Along the way, I’ve been featured in Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, CNBC, and contributed to a best-selling book on wealth and success. But none of that matters more than sitting down with someone and helping them make a clear, confident decision about their future.
I founded Retirement Capital to help people retire with clarity and confidence—and actually enjoy the season they’ve worked for. To me, that’s what “more life, less limits” is really about: peace of mind, fewer unknowns, and the freedom to show up fully for what matters most.
Today, I mentor our team and help lead a firm built to serve families for generations. My mission is simple: help people live with more life and fewer limits.
Dylan Thorson knows what it feels like to face a financial decision you never saw coming. When Dylan lost his father at 5 years old, and at 18 he found himself managing an inheritance with no roadmap and a lot of uncertainty. That experience did not just shape who he became as an advisor. It became the reason he does this work.
With six years in financial planning and five focused on retirement, Dylan has made it his mission to help clients do something deceptively simple: actually enjoy the money they spent a lifetime earning. He has watched too many people arrive at retirement with impressive account balances and a fear of spending a single dollar. His job, as he sees it, is to give clients the confidence to live their retirement with purpose instead of anxiety.
Dylan specializes in income and investment planning, and he brings a perspective that stops clients in their tracks. The number on your statement may not be the number you actually have. For many clients with accounts where taxes are still owed, a significant portion of what they see on paper belongs to the IRS. Knowing that before you retire changes everything.
To Dylan, “More Life. Less Limits.” is not just a tagline. It is a standard. He wants his clients traveling, experiencing, and living fully, not sitting on a couch watching the days pass. He is committed to making sure the people he serves never settle for less than the retirement they imagined.
When he is not working, you will find Dylan at the gym, deep in a book, or competing in a softball league, basketball league, or on the golf course. He and his wife, married in 2022, are the proud parents of two miniature dachshunds named Nike and Larry. Yes, they race them. Larry won a wiener dog race on ice at a UW-Madison hockey game, took home a trophy, and got his photo with Bucky the Badger. Dylan has called several corners of Wisconsin home and will tell you that Sun Prairie, where he and his wife bought their first house and brought home their dogs, is the best of all of them.

Marketing is my passion, and turning complex financial ideas into messages that make sense is a challenge I love taking on. My background includes crafting messaging in Personal Injury Law and Real Estate, always with one goal: helping people connect with a brand that truly resonates.
At Retirement Capital, I lead our integrated marketing strategy—crafting the tone, copy, and campaign fundamentals our clients see every day. I also oversee paid advertising across channels, continuously optimizing performance to bring clarity and engagement to our brand.
What drives me? Helping people stress less and dream bigger about their future. I want pre-retirees and retirees to feel confident about what’s ahead. More life, less limits isn’t just a tagline. It’s why I do what I do.
With a background in strategic public relations and a deep passion for storytelling, I lead Retirement Capital’s content, event, and social media strategy—bringing clarity, warmth, and connection to every message we share. From vibrant Instagram reels to educational seminars and polished email campaigns, I ensure our communications resonate to serve pre-retirees and retirees ready to live with more life and less limits.
My approach blends brand integrity with creativity—aligning content with compliance, while keeping it fresh, inspiring, and people-first. I partner across teams to craft messages that reflect who we are and what we believe: that retirement should feel freeing, not confusing. My mission is simple—use storytelling to build trust and help families step into this next season with confidence.
